Description
Orchilmore Farm Cottage is likely an 18th-century single-storey vernacular cottage with a rectangular plan and three bays, showing signs of hanging lums. The exterior features random rubble with render and harl pointing, along with some roughly squared large quoins.
The south elevation is symmetrical, featuring a timber door in the central bay flanked by small windows, with the right window possibly being slightly enlarged. The north elevation has a small window with a large slab cill in the center. The east elevation is mostly blank, with a roughly triangular stone projection off-centre to the left in the gablehead, and a small lean-to timber structure on the right at ground level. The west elevation is a blank gable.
The cottage retains remnants of timber sash and case windows. It has a corrugated-iron roof with metal square-section flues at the ridge and squat ridge stacks.
