Description
Old Faskally Cottage is a single-storey, three-bay cottage dating from the earlier to mid 19th century. It features a piend and platform roof and is harled with deep-set openings.
The southwest elevation, which serves as the entrance, is symmetrical, with a boarded timber door in the center and windows on either side. The northwest elevation has two widely aligned windows. The southeast elevation includes a lean-to bay with a timber door on the return to the left.
The cottage has a 4-pane glazing pattern in its timber sash and case windows, and it is topped with grey slates. A coped harled center stack with cans is present, and the overhanging eaves are complemented by plain bargeboarding on the southwest side.
