Description

The Suspension Bridge at Abergeldie Castle was built in 1885 by the Blaikie Brothers, engineers from Aberdeen. It is a slender iron foot suspension bridge featuring a light wooden deck. The deck is supported by wire rope cables that hang from lattice girder pylons. The bridge also has wire mesh parapets.
