Description

The rear wing of Monaliadh, located at 104 High Street in Kingussie, is an earlier 19th century single-storey cottage with an irregular three-bay layout. It is constructed from harled rubble with boulder footings. The long elevations run east to west, featuring an off-centre door on the east elevation, accompanied by a small window to the left. The west elevation has two windows. A single ridge stack is positioned at the north end, and the roof is covered with corrugated iron, which protects the remaining thatch underneath. Inside, there is a circular floor hearth that survives at the south end of the building in a room currently used as a store.
