Description

53 High Street in Kingussie is a pair of two-storey houses built in the early 19th century. Each house features three symmetrical bays, with the wider dwelling on the left having a later shop front added to the right of the central entrance. The front is made of rubble, with courses highlighted by contrasting paintwork, and has tooled rubble dressings and a harled gable. The windows have 4-pane and 12-pane glazing, and there are stacks at both ends and on the ridge. The roofs are covered with slate.
