Description
This mid 19th century cast-iron milepost is located on Kepculloch Road in Tombrake. It has a flat rectangular shape, stands approximately 0.75 meters tall, and features a slightly curved section. The milepost was formerly painted and displays a low relief of a hand pointing towards Glasgow. Above the hand, it has the raised letters 'GLASGOW ROYAL EXCHANGE 20', and below it reads 'BALFRON 1'.
