Description

27 Chalton Road is a mid-Victorian semi-detached villa built from snecked rubble and two stories high. It features a symmetrical design and is similar in style to the nearby properties at numbers 43 and 45, although those are simpler in appearance. The villa has slightly advanced ends with canted bays that are corbelled to square and gabled. The central section has a gabled bipartite window with a continuous decorative cast-iron balcony above it. The doorways are twin hood-moulded, and the openings are stop-chamfered. The gables are crowstepped and topped with finials. The roof is slated.
