Description
Deanston House began as a modest two-storey and basement mansion around 1820. In 1881, it was significantly remodelled by John Burnet & Son in the Italianate style, with the addition of a large three-storey section, a five-storey entrance tower, and a conservatory. A fine plasterwork dome, originally from the staircase, survives. While some interior alterations have occurred, notable examples of early John Burnet interior detail remain. The statutory address is Deanston House.
