22 Teith Road, Deanston Cottages, Deanston

This is an early 19th century group of workers' cottages, originally comprising five blocks and now numbered 12-22 Teith Road, Deanston, near Deanston Mill. The cottages are two storeys high with an attic. They are built of rubble, with rendered margins, stugged quoins, and angle margins. The original terrace layout has been altered; the present arrangement features an off-centre front door, paired central doors, and enlarged windows at numbers 12 and 14. Additional windows have been added. Each block has two canted gabled dormers, with smaller, flat-headed dormers added centrally. The roof is slate-covered, with chimney stacks on the party walls between the cottages.
