Description
Syha Offices, located at 7 Glebe Crescent in Stirling, is a later Victorian detached villa that features a plain yet highly idiosyncratic design, likely by architect John Allan. The building is two stories with an attic and is constructed from snecked rubble. It has a canted bay on the left side that extends through both floors, while the right side features bipartite windows on both levels. There are two timber-faced dormers on the roof.
At the rear, there is a lower two-story and attic wing with a very steep piended roof, positioned behind a single-story front wing on the left. This wing includes a set-back porch supported by slim columns, which has a platformed roof located in the re-entrant angle of the lower two-story rear wing on the right.
The main roof has a curious design, featuring steep piends and is gambrelled by bold chimney stacks. The glazing is unusual, with a band of three small panes at the bottom of the upper sash. All roofs are slated.
