Description
Abbeycraig Park, located at 24 Hillfoots Road in Stirling, is a building designed by John Allan, with construction dates of 1879 and 1919. It features an Italianate style with influences from Greek Thomson in its details. The structure is two stories high and includes a four-story tower topped with a pyramid roof. A prominent heavy segment-headed doorpiece is situated in the re-entrant angle, while the west front has a bow-fronted bay at ground level. The east front is characterized by double gables, and the building has low-pitched slated roofs with broad eaves and decorative iron finials. Notably, the entrance gates are designed in an interesting thistle motif, inspired by Thomson.
