Albert Cottage, Doune Road, Dunblane

Albert Cottage is a mid-19th century, two-storey, two-bay house with a rectangular plan and gabled roof. The exterior features squared and tooled yellow sandstone courses, with rubble on the sides and harled finish at the rear. The openings have tooled, chamfered margins, and the eaves are overhanging and barge boarded.

On the southwest (principal) elevation, there are two bays with regular window placement and a modern timber door to the right. The northeast (rear) elevation also has two bays and is harled at the gable head, featuring a single window on the right side of the upper storey. The northwest (side) elevation shows regular fenestration on the ground floor, while the upper storey is blank. The southeast (side) elevation is entirely blank.

Inside, the cottage is plain and has been refurbished. It includes 8-pane, timber-framed, sash and case windows, a roof covered with grey slates and lead flashing, cast-iron rainwater goods, and coped gable stacks.
