Description

The monument at Old Bleaching Green in Dunblane was built in 1842. It features a plain, cylindrical column standing on a broad plinth with a domed cap. The column is inscribed with the words, "IN 1842 HER MAJESTY'S COMMISSIONERS GAVE A LEASE OF THIS GRASS YARD OF DUNBLANE AS A BLEACHING GREEN FOR THE INHABITANTS."
