Description
This building, located at 12, 14, 16, and 18 Main Street in Doune, dates from the late 18th century and is a two-storey structure with an attic, featuring a six-window terrace. The exterior is stuccoed with raised and painted margins. There is a shop front from around 1900 on the right side, which includes a fascia and a bracketed cornice, along with two windows, one of which is narrow. Number 16 has a door with one window at the ground level and two windows on the first floor. The Mile End building is similar but has one additional narrow window at the ground level in the outer bay. The roof features two canted and piended dormers, straight skews with scrolled skewputts, and is covered with slate. There is also an extensive rear wing.
