Description
Ross House in Hamilton is a massive baronial mansion originally built in 1783, with Victorian enlargements by Alexander Cullen. The garden front features a six-storey corner tower on the left and an advanced bay to the right, which includes bartizans and a first-floor oriel window. The façade is adorned with elaborate Craigievar string coursing, complete with canon spouts, gabled dormers, strapwork, and pediment overthrows above the mullioned windows. To the left, there is a half-columned porch with a cantilevered balcony. The property also includes an enclosed service courtyard with a tower.
