69-71 Portland Street, Troon

69-71 Portland Street in Troon is an earlier 19th-century, symmetrical, two-storey, three-bay plain classical house that forms the end of a terrace. The ground floor serves as a public house, and there is a stair tower at the rear. The exterior features painted harl with painted margins, a raised base course, a painted eaves course, and projecting cills at the first floor.

On the southeast (entrance) elevation, there is a replacement timber door centered on the ground floor, with a single window above it on the first floor. The outer left and right bays each have single windows on both floors.

The northwest (rear) elevation includes a full-height stair tower at the center, with single-storey additions in the flanking bays and single windows aligned at the first floor.

The front has replacement two-pane timber pivot glazing, and there is also replacement glazing at the rear. The roof is covered with grey slate, featuring raised stone skews and replacement rainwater goods. There are broad apex stacks to the northeast and southwest, with circular cans.

The interior was not seen in 1997.
