Corsehill Walled Garden, Monument Road, Ayr

Corsehill Walled Garden, located on Monument Road in Ayr, dates back to the earlier 19th century. This irregularly shaped walled garden measures approximately 4200 square meters and features a prominent point to the southeast, along with lean-to storage sheds against the northern exterior wall. The walls are constructed of sandstone rubble and are coped at the apex.

The entrance to the garden on Monument Road includes square-plan stone gatepiers and low coped quadrant walls, providing access for both vehicles and pedestrians through two-leaf timber gates. Flanking the entrance is a higher wall, while the entrance to Racecourse View features iron gatepiers with both two-leaf and single iron gates, surrounded by a higher rubble wall.
