Description

Pinwherry Castle is an L-shaped structure with its entrance doorway located on the east face of the re-entering angle. The original staircase, which has since been destroyed, was situated in the wing and led up to the first floor. The ascent continued in a square projecting turret. In the 16th century, the castle belonged to one of the many branches of the Kennedies.
