Description
Keltie Castle is a building dated 1686, which has been reconstructed with a widened principal jamb in 1712. It features a 3-storey and attic L-plan stair located in the angle, now enclosed due to the widening of the jamb. The castle has a corbelled rectangular turret with a lean-to roof and finials on the north gable, along with straight skews. The west windows on the first floor date from around 1820. The interior was remodeled around 1920, during which a doorway was given a gothic head and additional windows were inserted with cemented surrounds. The dormer head above the door, dating from 1600, is likely a remnant of an earlier house.
