Description

  1. 2-storey, 3-bay near rectangular-plan classical house. Coursed, squared sandstone; rubble to sides. Base course; 1st floor cill course; eaves course; cornice; blocking course (with raised central panel); wide strip quoins. Labelmoulds to ground floor windows; architraves to 1st floor windows.

S (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: central double-pilastered, corniced, block-pedimented doorpiece; timber door; letterbox fanlight; single window aligned above at 1st floor. Regular fenestration to flanking bays.

W (SIDE) ELEVATION: blank.

E (SIDE) ELEVATION: entrance to No 14 to outer right at ground; timber door; letterbox fanlight; single window to left; single window at 1st floor.

4- and 12-pane timber sash and case windows. Grey slate roof; coped wallhead stacks; polygonal cans.

INTERIOR: not seen 1998.

BOUNDARY WALL, GATEPIERS, GATES AND RAILINGS: coped wall to entrance elevation, higher coped wall to rear elevation enclosing site. Entrance to No 14 to right; 2-leaf iron-gate; iron gatepier to left; spear-headed railings.
