11 Queen's Terrace in Ayr is a terrace of three houses built between 1844 and 1851. The buildings are single storey with a basement, and there are attics at the rear for Nos 1, 3, 5, and 13. They are constructed from painted coursed sandstone and feature a mutuled cornice. The ground floor window openings have painted margins and cill blocks, and the doorways have moulded arises.
The entrance elevation has a central stepped platt leading to the entrances, which have glazed timber doors; No 11 features stained glass. The fanlights above the doors include a three-light design for Nos 1 and 7, and a two-light stained glass design for Nos 11-15. There are single windows flanking the entrances at both the ground floor and basement levels.
On the north elevation facing Charlotte Street, there are two single windows at the ground floor level of the gabled bay, with a blind window to the left. The houses display a variety of glazing patterns: No 1 has 12-pane windows at the ground floor and 6-pane windows at the basement, while No 3 features plate glass and 12-pane windows at the ground floor and 6-pane at the basement. Nos 5, 7, 9, and 17 have plate glass throughout, Nos 11 and 13 have 4-pane windows throughout, and No 15 has lying-pane glazing. The roofs are covered with grey slate and include stone skews, rooflights, gablehead and ridge stacks, as well as circular and polygonal cans.
The interiors were not seen in 1998. The boundary walls and railings feature ashlar copes with decorative railings on top, surrounding the basement area and stepped platts.
