Description
Haa Of Houss is an early to earlier 19th century, two-storey and attic, three-bay symmetrical merchant laird's house, which is now a roofless shell. The building features random rubble walls with polished and droved sandstone ashlar dressings. The north gable is blank, while the south gable is mostly collapsed, although window dressing survives on the left side at the first floor. There is a stone cope and a circular can on the surviving stack at the north gablehead. A tall stair window is located at an intermediate height, centring the rear (east) elevation, and there is a door at ground level in the bay to the right.
Adjacent to the house is an outbuilding, which is a gabled, windowless structure to the north. It has random rubble walls and a vertically-boarded timber door centred on the south elevation, topped with a shallow-pitched felt roof that includes skylights.
