Description
Chain Bridge Farmhouse, built in 1826 by presumably J & T Smith of Darnick, is a single storey and attic structure with three bays. The central door is aligned with the bridge and is covered by a later timber porch. The windows feature square hood-moulds and retain their original 12-pane double sash glazing. The building is constructed from coursed and pinned rubble with droved dressings, straight skews, and rectangular coped end stacks. The roof is slated and includes two later canted attic dormers.
