Description

Late 18th to early 19th century with later additions. Symmetrical 2-storey with attic, 3-bay plain classical style farmhouse with later gabled porch to front; single storey with attic, L-plan wing projecting at rear forming near T-plan. Painted harl; polished sandstone dressings (lightly droved in part); coursed, polished and tooled sandstone porch. Raised sandstone base course; sandstone eaves course. Polished sandstone margins; projecting cills.

SE (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: steps to timber panelled door centred in gabled porch projecting at centre; 5-pane fanlight; flanking pilasters; part-glazed timber panelled vestibule door within; single window aligned at 1st floor. Single windows at both floors in flanking bays.

NE (SIDE) ELEVATION: original block with single window at ground in bay to outer left; boarded timber shed obscuring bays to right; round-arched attic light centred in gablehead. Single storey wing recessed to right with timber door in porch advanced to outer left; single window in bay recessed to outer right.

SW (SIDE) ELEVATION: original block with single window at ground in bay to outer left; round-arched attic light centred in gablehead. Single window in single storey wing recessed to outer left.

Predominantly 12-pane glazing in timber sash and case windows; round-arched timber sash and case attic windows; modern window to rear wing; various skylights. Grey slate roofs; raised stone skews to original house; cast-iron rainwater goods. Broad corniced apex stacks to SW (droved sandstone) and NE (harled); various circular cans; apex stack to rear wing; cans missing.

INTERIOR: not seen 1997.

SUNDIAL: tiered, octagonal base to baluster shaft; octagonal table; metal gnomon in place.
