Description
1 High Street in Jedburgh is an earlier 19th-century, three-storey and attic corner tenement that features a shop on the ground floor. The building is constructed from cream stugged and coursed ashlar, with a band course located above the ground floor cills. The slightly recessed curved corner bay includes a two-leaf door at the ground level, with single windows on each floor.
On the northwest elevation, there are two bays. To the left at ground level, there is a door with a rectangular fanlight, and to the right, a large square plate glass shop window. The upper floors have windows in each bay, and there is a leaded box dormer.
The southwest elevation also has two bays, similar to the northwest side, but without a door at ground level. A window on the left side at the second floor is blocked. The building features timber sash and case plate glass windows, with the right-hand bay facing High Street having a 12-pane window that is likely a blind window. The roof is piended and covered with grey slates.
