Description

James Pearson Allison, 1893. 3-storey and attic 4-bay tenement with shops at ground; bay to right curved (to recessed street line to right). Cream stugged coursed ashlar sandstone with polished dressings; windows with moulded architraves, corniced at 1st floor.

2 modern shops below cornice at ground flanking modern door at centre to property above (shop to right now part of and entered from shop at No 8). 1st floor with bipartite windows to main 3 bays; cill course. 2nd floor similar with single window at centre; moulded cill course and entablature. Solid parapet above curved bay. 3 pedimented slate-hung dormers, outer ones canted.

Timber sash and case plate glass windows. Grey slates; coped ashlar faced stack. Cast-iron downpipe and rainwater head.
