6 High Street, Jedburgh

6 High Street in Jedburgh is a three-storey and attic tenement building with four bays, designed by James Pearson Allison in 1893. The ground floor features shops, with the right bay curved to accommodate a recessed street line. The building is constructed from cream stugged coursed ashlar sandstone, accented with polished dressings. The windows have moulded architraves and are corniced on the first floor.

The ground floor has two modern shops flanking a central modern door leading to the property above. The shop on the right is now part of and accessed from the shop at No 8. The first floor has bipartite windows in the main three bays, with a cill course. The second floor mirrors this with a single window at the center, featuring a moulded cill course and entablature. Above the curved bay, there is a solid parapet. The roof has three pedimented slate-hung dormers, with the outer ones canted.

The windows are timber sash and case with plate glass. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there is a coped ashlar faced stack. A cast-iron downpipe and rainwater head are also present.
