Goods Office, Car Park, East Station, Peebles

The Goods Office at East Station in Peebles is an early 20th-century single-storey building designed for the North British Railway. It features a rectangular plan with six bays and includes an earlier brick weighbridge office attached to the north. The exterior is constructed from brick and vertical timber boarding, and it has overhanging eaves.

On the east elevation, there are six panelled doors in the outer bays, with a two-light window above the door to the left and horizontal boarding above the door to the right. The central bays contain four-pane fixed windows, which have horizontal boarding on the aprons and two-light windows above them.

The south elevation has a brick base course and vertical timber boarding, with no openings present. The north elevation is made of brick and includes the lower weighbridge office that adjoins it. The west elevation was not visible in 1997.

The roof is covered with grey slate and features timber collars, kingposts, and finials at the gables. Inside, the building has vertical timber lining boards, a plain timber cornice, and gas lamps.
