Description
The bridge over the Leithen Water at Innerleithen Golf Club is a single segmental-span road bridge built in the later 19th century. It is set in a rural location and constructed from coursed local whinstone rubble, featuring polished red sandstone voussoirs, coping, and quoins.
On the north and south elevations, the bridge has a segmental arch that spans the river, with sandstone voussoirs. The spandrels are formed by plain rubble walls, and there is a parapet along with flat wing walls, all topped with flat red sandstone coping. To the southwest, there is a slightly advanced wall with red sandstone quoins that supports the bridge and follows the line of the bank.
