Description
Tweedknowe is a pair of large semi-detached villas built in 1877, designed in a Picturesque style. The front of the buildings is symmetrical, featuring paired doors at the center that are topped with bracketed cornices. The outer bays are canted at both the ground and first floors, transitioning to square shapes at the attic level, which are adorned with bargeboards. The central bays also have bargeboarded gablets above the center windows. At the rear, Tweedknowe boasts a large domical leaded piend roof with a top light, while Tweedmount features a tall French roof with a gabled dormer on the east side.
