Description

Woodside is an early 19th century house, possibly incorporating earlier elements. It is a two-storey and attic structure with three bays, set on rising ground and screened to the north by a single-storey entrance range and garage court. The exterior is harled with painted ashlar margins.

On the south elevation, there is a bipartite window at the center, an enlarged French window to the left, and a window to the right, with additional windows in each bay on the first floor. The roof features a pair of piend-roofed canted dormers. The east elevation has a door at ground level to the right and a window in the gablehead to the left. The west elevation includes a window to the right in the gablehead. The north elevation, which serves as the entrance, has a staircase window at the center and windows in the outer bays on the first floor. There is a projecting single-storey range made of painted dressed sandstone at ground level, topped with a flat lead roof. This range features a panelled door to the left, complete with a letterbox fanlight and chamfered margins.

The house has timber sash and case windows, with a 12-pane design at the front and plate glass at the rear. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there are ashlar coped skews and brick stacks.

To the north, the gateway, forecourt walls, and garage consist of harled walls with semicircular coping that enclose the entrance court. The pedestrian gateway features a Tudor arch with a boarded door and wrought-iron hinges to the left. The garage has boarded doors installed in the center and a pair of blind square windows to the right.
