Description

The Paxton War Memorial, built around 1920, is made of pink sandstone ashlar and honors those who served in the 1st and 2nd World Wars. It features a Celtic cross with decorative carvings set on a stepped, rectangular base. There are embossed memorial plaques dedicated to the fallen. In front of the memorial, there are four squat, obelisk-shaped bollards that enclose the site, connected by paired chain links.
