Description

Mid 19th century. 3-storey 5-bay L-plan tenement. Cream/pink dressed rubble sandstone; regular fenestration.

E ELEVATION: 5-bay; 3 doors with 4-pane letterbox fanlights to slightly sunk ground floor, to 2nd and 4th bays from left and 1 between outer bays to right.

N ELEVATION: 5-bays; 2 left bays under gable, outer one blank. 3 bays to centre and right regularly fenestrated at 1st and 2nd floor. W ELEVATION: at left, advanced blank gable with single attic window; single storey piend-roofed addition at ground. To right, in re-entrant angle round stair tower with conical roof, built as part of recent refurbishment; single bay to right, and blank bay beyond with single storey addition as above.

S ELEVATION: single storey addition and 2 bays to left and stair tower as before; to right, advanced gable end with windfow to each floor, single storey addition at left (masking stair tower).

12-pane timber sash and case windows. Grey slates; ashlar faced and coped stacks; ashlar skews and skewputts.

BOUNDARY WALLS: rubble walls with semi-circular coping to rear.
