82 High Street, Peebles

80 High Street in Peebles is an early 19th-century building with a late 19th-century shop on the ground floor. It is a two-storey and attic, three-bay terraced house, with an additional block at the rear. The exterior is made of coursed stugged cream ashlar sandstone with polished dressings. The ground floor features four bays, with painted polished ashlar, a base course, and a cornice, along with basket-arched roll-moulded openings. To the left, there is a three-bay shop with a central two-leaf door flanked by plate glass shop windows. To the right of the door, which has a six-pane fanlight above it, is access to a pend. On the first floor, there are quoin strips, a cornice, and a blocking course, with three windows above. The attic has a later pair of small segmental-headed leaded dormers that interrupt the blocking course. The windows are 12-pane timber sash and case, with the dormers having four panes each. The roof is covered with grey slates, featuring ashlar coped-skews and coped ashlar apex stacks. The interior was not seen in 1994.
