Description

Early 19th century, possibly incorporating earlier fabric. 3-storey

3-bay terraced house with shop at ground. Painted whinstone with sandstone ashlar dressings. Long and short quoins. Bays displaced to right; regular fenestration. At ground, left bay with deep-set flush-panelled door (to house) and diamond pane letterbox fanlight; centre bay with glazed panelled shop door, plate glass shop window to right with basement hatch below (ground falls away to E); small basement window to outer left. Square 2nd floor windows hard under eaves; blind to centre and right.

Timber windows; plate glass sash and case at 1st floor, 6-pane casement at 2nd. Grey slates; dry-dashed apex stack with thackstane; ashlar-coped skews; scrolled skewputts.

INTERIOR: not seen 1994.
