Description

Early 19th century. 2-storey and attic 3-bay L-plan house on ground rising to rear. Whitewashed harl with painted ashlar margins.

S (FRONT) ELEVATION: regular fenestration. Deep-set panelled door with rectangular fanlight and moulded architrave at centre. Full-height canted window with cornice and blocking course to left. Pair of small piend-roofed dormers and skylight at centre.

W ELEVATION: gable end to right with window at 1st floor to left. Set back 2-bay range to left with stair window in re-entrant angle.

N (REAR) ELEVATION: blank painted rubble single (upper) storey gable to left; 2-bays set back to right, blank at 1st floor.

E ELEVATION: blank gable to left; 2-bay range to right.

Timber sash and case plate glass windows (4-pane to front of canted window). Grey slates; brick apex stacks; ashlar coped skews.

BARN: to rear and abutting boundary wall to E. Single storey; rubble sandstone. Barn doors at centre of both exposed sides (N and W); further stable door to W; blind oculus in gablehead to N.

BOUNDARY WALL: rubble boundary wall with boulder coping, partly harled.
