Description

The garden walls and terrace walls, along with the gate piers at Ednam House Hotel on Bridge Street in Kelso, were built between 1928 and 1929. They feature a pair of square gate piers made of channelled ashlar, topped with cornices and adorned with lion supporters as finials. These gate piers are set within a boundary wall from the mid-19th century, which is rendered and designed to resemble ashlar stone.
