Description
The railings and stalk at the North Entrance Gate Piers of Manderston House were designed by John Kinross around 1895. They consist of a pair of ashlar drumpiers with domed caps that flank the drive to the east of the stables. The hoop railings are adorned with decorative wrought-iron panels. To the southeast, there is a brick stalk that is polygonal in shape, resting on a square base and tapering to a contrasting brick neck. This neck is topped with corniced ashlar coping and a terracotta can.
