Description

The Old Schoolhouse in Newton Of Belltrees was built before 1791. It is a two-storey, three-bay former school that features a later addition of a projecting central square stair block from the 18th century. The building is harled with painted margins and includes a door in a single-storey, two-bay extension to the south. The outer bays have 15-pane sash windows, while there is a single central 10-pane stair window. The structure has end stacks and a slate roof.
