Description
Low Belltrees is a mid 18th century, two-storey, three-bay farmhouse with an L-plan layout. It features a steading extending to the northwest and a lean-to store to the southwest that links to the northwest range. The house is harled with rendered margins and has a central door framed by a painted, pedimented Gibbs' surround. There are modern windows throughout the property. The eaves cornice is moulded, and the building has crow-stepped gables, end stacks, and a slate roof.
To the northeast, there is a single-storey structure made of limewashed rubble block with altered openings. The lean-to to the southwest is rendered and includes a doorway and crow-steps. The limewashed rubble block to the northwest has a door and vertical ventilators on both long walls, along with a moulded eaves cornice and crow-stepped gables. Slate roofs are present throughout the property.
