Description
The Rolling Lift Bridge over the White Cart on Inchinnan Road in Renfrew was built in 1923. It is a single-span Scherzer rolling lift bridge featuring a truss span with the roadway located on the lower chord. The bridge has bracketed footpaths with plain steel railings. At the eastern end, there are counterweight and control cabins that are single storey, have piend roofs, and are supported on steel trestles, connected by a linking gantry. The bridge is anchored by steel piled abutments.
