Description

Circa 1897 and later single storey extension. Baronial. 2

storey and attic house. Snecked rubble with ashlar dressings

including angle quoins. Asymmetrical elevations with

crowstepped gables parapet to porch. Fine wrought-iron

bell-pull and lamp flanking door which has brass lock plates

and handles. Bartisaned parapet to porch. 3-storey stair tower

with balustraded parapet and open bartisans. Gabled bay to

left and circled corner with conical slate roof. Windows

chiefly sashes with rollmoulded reveals but 2 canted,

corbelled and coped oriels to south front and 1 to west front.

Corbelled bartisan to 1st and 2nd floors of NW corner with

conical cap. Facetted tower to north elevation. Slate roofs

with end stacks. Single storey extension to west, harled with

ashlar dressings and 5-light window of 12-pane sashes. Piended

slate roof with wallhead stack to rear. Attached cast iron

bird bath of shell supported by cherub.
