Police Station, 9 Collier Street, Johnstone

The building is a late 19th century police station located at 9 Collier Street in Johnstone. It is a three-storey structure with three bays, built from snecked rubble and featuring sandstone dressings. The outer bays have bipartite windows at all levels, with plain friezes and cornices supported by vestigial consoles at the ground and first floors.

There are moulded cill courses at the first and second floors, along with an eaves band and cornice that includes ogee guttering. To the left of the centre, the first and second floors have single windows designed as bipartites. At the centre of the ground floor, there are three doorways located beneath the extension of the frieze and cornice from the right-hand bipartites. The building has gabled chimney stacks and a roof covered with Scotch slate. The south gable is made of snecked rubble, while the north gable is harled.
