Description
Sparrowmuir Cottage, dating from the 18th century, has been altered over time. It is a single-storey building with five bays, originally designed as a pair of cottages but now combined into one. The exterior is finished in whitewashed clay.
On the southeast elevation, there is a panelled timber door with windows on either side; to the right, there are two additional widely spaced windows. The northeast elevation features a gabled roof with a small window on the left and a stack at the gable head.
The northwest (rear) elevation includes a bay on the right with an outshot, a door on the return to the right, and a small window immediately to the left. The windows are timber sash and case with a four-pane glazing pattern. The roof is covered in modern concrete tiles, and there is a harl and brick stack with cans.
