Description

Mid 19th century. 2-storey, 6-bay pair of traditional houses with 2-storey, 4-bay house adjoining at rear. Chlorite-slate rubble; dry-dash to rear. Large quoins, projecting cills and slab lintels. Some heavy harl-pointing, lined.

NOS 30, 32 and 34:

S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: symmetrical. Bays to right with modern door to centre, windows in flanking bays and regular fenestration to 1st floor. Bays to left as above but with panelled timber door.

E ELEVATION: blank gabled elevation.

W ELEVATION: as E but with No 36 (see below) adjoining at outer left.

N (REAR) ELEVATION: variety of elements to altered elevation including modern door (No 30) to outer left.

NO 36:

W ELEVATION: diminutive window at ground in bay to left of centre, flanking bays each windows to ground and 1st floor, latter with gabled dormerheads; boarded timber door with slated timber canopy in bay to outer right.

N ELEVATION: gabled elevation with single window at ground and bipartite above.

2-pane upper sashes over plate glass to Nos 30 & 32, plate glass glazing to No 34 all in timber sash and case windows. Modern glazing to No 36. Graded grey slates. Coped ashlar stacks with some cans. Overhanging eaves with plain bargeboarding.

INTERIOR: fireplace with massive lintel at No 34.
