Description
Davan Farmhouse is a 18th-century, single storey and attic, three-bay farmhouse built in 1746. The exterior is made of coursed rubble with large squared rubble quoins.
On the east elevation, there is a central door flanked by windows, and two slate-hung dormers are grouped toward the center. The west elevation features a small modern porch on the left with a dormer window that breaks the eaves above, a later lean-to bay on the right, and a modern rooflight in the center. The north elevation has a square window in the gabled bay.
The windows are timber sash and case with 4-pane and plate glass glazing patterns. The roof is covered with graded grey slates, and there are coped harled stacks with thackstanes and brick stacks. The eaves are overhanging.
Inside, the farmhouse is modern but retains a timber fireplace with a cast-iron horse-shoe grate.
