Description
26, 28, 30, 32, and 34 George Street in Perth is a three-storey building designed by W M Mackenzie in 1836. It features five windows and is constructed of ashlar stone in a classic style without a defined order. The building has incised Soanic decoration on the pilasters and entablature of the end bays. The first floor has tall architraved windows, with three of them supported by consoles in the center, while the second floor has smaller architraved windows. A main cornice runs along the top, leading to a plain parapet and a slated roof. The ground floor shops are flanked by anta pilasters and have been altered during the Edwardian period.
