The Quoins Cottage, Main Street, Longforgan

The Quoins Cottage, dating from the late 18th century, consists of a pair of single-storey, three-bay cottages, with a later addition to the northeast that forms an L-plan.

Steeple Cottage, located to the west, is constructed of rubble and features a red tile roof. It has a replacement door at the center, flanked by four-pane sash and case windows. There is a coped chimneystack on the west gable, along with a later addition that has a monopitch roof adjoining the west gable.

The Quoins Cottage, situated to the east, is also made of rubble and has a reed-thatched roof with a scobed reed ridge. It features a replacement door at the center, flanked by 12-pane sash and case windows, and a small window in the east gable. The dividing gable wall is coped, with a skewblock to the left and a later coped skew to the east gable. There are two ridge chimneystacks, along with a small rubble addition with a piended slate roof to the east gable and a large later addition adjoining this.
