Ferry Cottages, Port-Na-Craig Cottages, Pitlochry

Dowally Cottage is an early 19th-century short terrace of single-storey, three-bay traditional cottages built from roughly coursed rubble.

On the northeast elevation facing Port-Na-Craig Road, each cottage features a timber door in the center bay, with number 4 having an original boarded door and a letterbox fanlight, flanked by lower square windows. The southeast elevation has a gabled design with a window on the outer left and a broad gablehead stack. The northwest elevation mirrors the southeast elevation. The southwest elevation is irregular, featuring lower projecting bays.

The cottages have a 4-pane glazing pattern in the casement windows of number 1, while the rest have a 4-pane glazing pattern in modern timber windows. They are topped with graded grey slates, and the chimneys are made of coped ashlar with cans, along with ashlar-coped skews. The boundary walls are low and constructed from rubble.
