Description

Fordel House is a building originally dated to 1784. It is a two-storey structure featuring a five-window main centre that is pedimented and adorned with urns. The building has quoin angles and single-storey wings that connect to the pedimented ends with Venetian windows. The wings have been raised to two-storeys, and bay windows along with a fireclay balustrade have been added to the main block. Extensive additions were made to the north and west by Andrew Heiton in 1875. The exterior is stuccoed with margins, while the interior work is entirely from 1875.
