Description
The Old Parish Church in Arngask is a ruin that dates back to its original construction, with significant alterations made over the years. The church features galleries that were inserted in 1821 by Andrew Horsbrough of Wright Milnathort. The interior was renovated, and two windows were added under the gallery by J.C. Walker in 1879. Large windows were renewed by the builder Deas from Glenfarg in 1899. A notable bellcote was added by Sir G. Washington Browne in 1907. The church is a plain rectangle built of rubble, with red droved dressings from the original work and white dressings from later modifications. It has a prominent bellcote flanked by two diamond-plan chimneys, one of which is a dummy. The south door at the center is blocked, and there is a small forecourt with a forestair leading to the gallery and session house.
